I just bought a used 400EX. One of the lower ball joints has some play in it. And, where the A-arm connects to the frame, their is also some play. I tightened the upper bushing bolt and it seemed to help a little.

Can the ball joints and upper bushing be replaced without replacing the entire A-arm?

Is this a common thing to were out on the 400EX.

Is this a common thing to go on 400EX's or do all of them have a little play?

your probaly could cut off the old ball joints and if you have access to a drill press, drill out the remander and put aftermarket ball joints in!!
