wats up everyone im new her and i was wondering i have a 2002 honda 400ex wat would happen if i took off the stock airbox lid and rode ithout one would i gain any performance? or would i gust kill the engine like that

needs to be rejetted to get any gain by running with the box off

No not good idea. Rejet then do it and you'll notice pretty good hp gain.
