I have a dumb question???

It is a vent. If you run it with it turned off the carb can't pull the gas out and it will die. I only turn mine off when I have to load my atv for a haul and have to stand it up on its rear wheels.

trx300man cant be more right. When you lift your wheeler up on its grab bar in the rear make sure the "pitcock" is set to off. Also when you transport your wheeler makes sure your "Pitcock" is set to off. The two most important things transporting and wheeler. Never transport it in gear always and I mean always use your Honda givin e-brake, and turn off the fuel. When your tank gets sloshed around it builds up pressure and sends extra fuel up that hose and onto your engine. You will want to start it to get it off the trailer but you will not want it on fire. Make sure you turn it on as soon as you take off the tie down straps as it will run for a few minutes and then die out. Have fun be safe, see you in the mud
