2002 250EX

Are they truly automatic? Looking for a quad for my wife and she doesn't want to have to shift gears. There is a 2002 250 ex near by at a good price but I don't want to waste my time on it if they aren't automatic.

It is to bad that some folks aren't willing to learn to shift, because they pass up a lot of very superb machines.....for some that aren't so superb!
The EX has an "autoclutch" manual transmission. The clutch is incorporated into the shift lever (not the left hand), so when you pull up or down on the lever that activates the clutch, and when you let it go it goes into gear and the clutch disengages. Good, simple system for a beginner!
I have taught total rookies to shift a full manual left hand clutch in 30 minutes. Even less time with an autoclutch. Have a talk with her.....
