He said it was a cr"f" 250R, that is the 4 stroke MX bike.
Just a regular "Cr" 250R is the the 2 stroke MX bike.
Either way it doesn't matter, either of those will spank the quad in a flat out drag. There is no since in dumping a bunch of money in your 450R just for boosting your ego. If you need to beat your friend, get a dirtbike and it will more than likely come down to rider.

yes we covered that it is a 4 stroke.. and im gonna have to dis-agree with ya.. i dont think that its gonna spank the 450.. and i say that since there is a 07' CRF 250R and a 06' TRX 450R in the garage.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention I do have a slip- on . But I am going to be purchasing the LRD pro4 full exhaust. and maybe a stage 1 hot cam. ( The cam is just alot of work it sounds like).

He did say CRF, which is the 4-stroke. I read it quickly and figured it was the CR250R old 2-stroke.
I ride with lots of kids and a couple of wives who ride the 250, and any one of them will leave any quad on the planet....behind in the dust!

i will say that both would have their own moments in diffrent situations but in a flat out drag the TRX is gonna take it</end quote></div>
Do you really have both of these in the garage? lol
It's not even going to be close man, if you are outrunning your bro's crf250, the only reason is because he doesn't know how to ride it like it should be ridden. You just can't compete on a quad against a bike in a straight line drag. It's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing, it's a fact.
