Don't use the starter fluid!!!
Make sure all electrical is correct.
Make sure the gas is on and flowing.
Make sure you have a good new plug in it gapped correctly.
Make sure you have compression (take the plug out and put your thumb over the hole and have someone push the kick start and see if you can keep your thumb over the hole).
Try using the choke on the carb.

A little starter fluid might work but don't use too much.A awsome trick to get my 250x(also kick) to start is to take the CDI box off and spray a squirt of WD-40 in it and then try it.If all else fails then get a new plug and ajust the gap to a 250R.Usually a little bit wider.Good luck!

check your spark plug to see if its fouled. Hold it next to something metal and give it a kick to see if its even getting any current to it(be careful) next check your compression, and maybe even use a fresh mixed gas that is even a little lean(50:1) I strongly recomend you don't use starting fluid because it doesnt magicaly make your bike start well time and time again unless you are nukeing your carb everytime you wanna ride. Make sure your bike is properly grounded(ground wire) too. i dunno what else to say unless i really brainstorm for a while; brains already starting to hurt so good luk

As said before, check to make sure you have spark. Remove the plug, and connect the plug wire, hold on to the insulation and hold the threaded part against the metal head or part of the engine. As you are doing this, kick start it ( 2 people) and be sure you have spark.

Hey if you still look at this site, how much did it cost you to build the quad , did you use mostly stock parts? just curious

well to get it to the point where it would run with a complete engine rebuild which i did myself it cost a little less then $3000. i still have no fenders though and no seat. i already had a-arms, axle, and front shocks(all aftermarket)
