Default honda fourtrax 125

I just got my son a 1987 125cc fourtrax for Christmas. It started up great when I first got it with pull start (at purchase) but needed a new battery. We got the battery, charged and dropped it in. Now the quad won't start at all. It has charge, and seems to want to turn over, but nothing. I thought it might be just a cold start (28 degrees today) but even when I pull started for 20mins this morning....nothing. I am not mechanically inclined, and he really wants to ride it. Any suggestions?

FYI:
I also tried to pull start while pressing the start button, still nothing. I think I am draining the battery by continuing to try and start it...the green neutral light seems to be dimming.

I got my son a moto 4 mid to early 80. the carb was full of crap. I took it to the shop and they had to take the carb apart and clean it.
good luck

Check right around the battery area, there is a goofy inline fuse there that most likely the wires pulled apart or blew during battery install

Good Morning and thank you everyone for your suggestions! We ended up checking the air filter (clean), pulling the spark plug and wiping it off (somehow got gas on it), taking out the battery and checking the line (fine) and even checking the fuse (good). Went to try and turn it over....I'll be darned if it didn't start right up! I still have yet to figure out what the problem was. Planning on yanking the carb and cleaning it on Sunday, and also checking the throttle cable as the idle seems to stay high when in neutral. Other than that, it ran all day yesterday. Weird. Thank you all again and I will keep you updated!
