All stock, just changed rear brake pads, I think they were the original. So, has low hours and in very good condition. I have tried to sell it for a while, without any luck. I had one guy offer me $500 and I pretty much laughed in his face. I was originaly asking $3500. But, I think it might be a bit high.
What be a fair asking price?
Any one know where would be a good place to advertise it?
I live in Kettering, Ohio (Dayton)
thanks
scott

Oh ya, 500 is a joke.
You should be able to get at least 2400, if its in nice shape.
Try craiglist...its free, and lots of us who are looking go there.
Then try ebay...just make sure you only take cash, and they have to pick it up, and you should avoid the scammers.

$2400 seems kinda low... I've seen them in the cycle trader for 3200 to 3600.
Not sure if any of them are getting sold though.
I know I should sell it... I have to pay off a couple bills so we can afford a wedding this summer. On the other hand, I really don't want to since I love it

I wouldn't expect any more than 2500-2700. My 04 yfz450 was piped with nerfs and bars for 3200. Bro's 05 450R was 3500.
Try getting your lady on there. She may get to liking it and you'll be buying a new one instead of selling.

She loves it too. We both ride sport bikes. She has an R6 and an SV650 S that we are working on making a track bike for her. I have an RC51 that has a bunch of work done to it to make it better for the track.
We just could really use the cash to make paying for our wedding this summer a bit easier. And there is no way the sport bikes are getting sold.

I guess I'm just not a very motivated seller... If $$$ wasn't such an issue, I would be looking to buy an 05 or newer 400EX and a trailer so she can have reverse and we both get to ride something other then her parents boring quads.

I think $ 2500 is on a high side. If you get any more you should take the $$ and run. Or you can always keep it.

At that price... I would rather just keep it and tell her to not spend any money to make up the difference. If I can't at least get close to 3K it's not going anywhere. I just need to find more places to ride.

Scott,

Just saw your post, but potential buyers might look here first:

That guy that offered you $500 was just yanking your chain!
