i was thinking of getting a project quad some time and am trying to figure out if i want like an 1988 honda 250r 4-wheel not 3 or an 2000-2004 400ex.

i was wondering what the ups and downs are on these quad are

are 2-strokes good like as far as gas and reliability

 

The 250R is a great little machine....wish they still make them. Around here, you can't find one anymore!!! There were lots of aftermarket parts available back in the day, but you don't see them much anymore. Plus, you can't buy an new crate engine either......

The EX on the other hand, has lots of aftermarket and lots of possibilities.
