Its pretty simple and easy to check and adjust yourself. You could buy a brand new service manual, and itll explain how its done, plus have a reference for the next repair/maint situation...and still be much cheaper than having someone else check the valve adjustment.
Once you do it, you wont ever have someone else do it again.

 

Valve adjustments are usually 1 hr of labor, for a simple two valve engine. That would be ~$80 around here.
