Have you done the basic mods like an air filter, opening up the airbox, a header and muffler, and a rejet????

I heard that peeling off the decals is worth 2-3 HP. Dunno if it's true but that's what my buddies keep telling me.

Seriously, do as reconranger said. It's an ENGINE driven vehicle. Modify the engine & you'll get more power. Why the Hell would you want to remove safety items??? And, why the Hell would you want to paint shiny aluminum?? If you want cooler looking rims, get them anodized a different color, don't paint them.

Painting aluminum isnt easy. To make the paint stick, it needs to be primed, and usually with zinc chromate.
Im not sure how taking off the parking brake will make it faster. The reason the racers remove the parking brake is to reduce weight, but if you arent doing serious racing, id leave it on, and make sure its adjusted correctly. Someday, when youre on a hill, youll appreciate that parking brake.
