As far as I know they are totally sealed. Never understood this, most newer cars have sealed ball joints too. If I am wrong let me know.

Hey nick how did your final build come out on the DS. As far as I know they are a sealed ball jt which is supposed to be non serviceable. You may be able to drill a hole into the ball jt and tap and put in a grease zerk fitting in the ball jts. If you don't have any problems with them I would leave them alone for now though.

Default 400ex ball joints

Hey man, my last Baja project came out great, the black / orange color scheme looks SICK on the DS!
OH im about to do the new '04 Baja X, just wait till u see 'er when im done!!!
Im askin cause im doing a project for my cousins '07 400ex, we did it black / red, but since the ball joints dont come out of the a-arm (HONDA!!!!???!!!!) we didnt know what to do, we were told u can tape them off to protect them enough to survive the oven of the powdercoat, so thats what we did, but 2 outa the 4 are a lil stiff yet where some of the grease leaked out during the heating, if u move them around u can hear air gettin in/out and see where the rubber gaps from the fitting, so grease will go in, i've been workin it in by hand, wow tedious haha! and its helped with the play of the joint, i was just hoping there was an easier way... looks like not, god i miss workin on the DS, these Honda's are a pain in the u know what!
