Default Looking to bore 400ex to 416

I noticed the 440 bore kits are shipped with another sleeve. Why are the 416 kits not shipped with a sleeve?

Any good sites to purchase a kit?

Runs a 730 kit from OMW with web109's and a 48mm lectron. It has some serious torque!

im pretty sure you can bore the stock cylinder and have it replated for the 416 kit. that is why you do not need a sleeve.

The 440 has such a big bore it needs the sleeve. It also has to be bored, and honed when you get it. The 416 or 415(depends on who makes it) makes for a great high compression engine with just a bore and hone to your factory sleeve!

As far as a maker...www.cppistons.com<---my fav!! CP makes a sweet custom piston, but expensive. If you dont wanna spend a lot, try a je piston...www.rockymountainatv/mc.com

My suggestion never have anything bored unless its broke down and has to be, boring is dangerous and usually leads to more problems despite who does it, its best to leave things original. I know from unfortunate experience. If you want bigger buy a bigger buy like a 450.

go with a 426. flat top for get about 416 and u can still have it bored and honed but if u dont do the other things to the head and flywheel ur wasting ur time and money!!!!
