Default Help on a Shifter Issue

I have a 2004 400ex that I just put some Pro Armor Nerf Bars on.. I love the Nerfs but even with the nets loose I seem to have a problem getting my foot under the stock shifter lever.

Is there an aftermarket lever that is maybe an inch or so longer or has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

you could cut it and weld a piece in to lengthen it, I did that on my brake lever.

Default Help on a Shifter Issue

I just moved the shifter up a tooth and it gave me ok room.. The factory shifter already has a lot of flex to it and I really didn't want to cut it but it's not a bad idea.. I think it would just flex more if I did so it's not quite what I'm looking for..

I think moving it up will serve the purpose fine.. I'll ride it and see..

Thanks
