Default OIl pipe
Does my 300ex have to be in gear to pump oil through the oil pipe? i pullede the pipe off and i am trying to see if the pump works

i am not sure what pipe you mean exactly but the oil should pump throughout the engine all the time. If it didn't, then you would not get oil when the engine is idling in neutral and this would cause damage.
