Default Timing Chain, stock motor

Okay so here is the deal I need a timing chain for my 440ex and i heard that the way to go is not with the stock one...any ideas. Also I'm thinkin about getting a new motor cause I jsut rebuild mine, added the 440 kit and everything and it jsut keeps causing more trouble and im sick of throwin money into a worthless motor, anyone have any ideas of where i could look to fine a good, nice running 400ex motor used, lookin to hopefully not spend more then like 600 if possible thanks

if you build a 440, you have to spend money or you will have problems. i know from experience!!! i would a stock chain. there are just a few things honda did inside there engine that can be put under pressure. like rod and cams! and timing chain. i bought a HD timing chain on ebay from CDB motorsports. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! the HD chain t6hay sold me was too wide. so it sliped and sloped all over the place. causing me to jump timing, and bending intake valves!!!

so go hard or go home, do you suggest a oem timing chain or a heavy duty one, it seems like all the heavy duty ones are wider so all of them would cause this prob you talked about, im getting ready to tear the enginen down for the second time in a month to try and fix the pos and it needs a timing chain, where should i go with it

crf450 chain is the way to go. any other questions? if the motor was put together right the only thing u should mess u is the dead bolts. the crank or crank bearings posb with high comp piston so.
