Would any of you know if 400ex or 450r front wheel spindles can fit/work on a TRX250R? Im having a hard time finding replacement 250R spindles. Also does anyone know if 400ex plastic can fit on a 250R?

 

the rear plastic and seat will work, that is what i have on my 88. There is a small gap that doesn't line up right were the stock front plastic meets the rear 400ex plastic but it doesn't bother me. I don't know about the front though. I am quite sure the front spindles from the 400ex are compatible but i have not done it before. I am sure someone on here will know. I can post a pic if you want to see what the rear plastic will look like.

 

Here is a list of stuff that works on the trx250r

400ex plastic rear front and seat. you will have to make adapter brakets up front from the shock post to the frony mount on the plastic should be 2-2.5" brackets. and also two from the back going down from the original mounts 2 the side panels and use the stock seat latch off the 250r on the 400 seat.

400ex axle but you need to use 400ex hubs

450r shocks will work

400ex a arms work with washers and spacers

400ex front bumper works with .25"

400ex tie rods

Grab bar of the 450r's works

450r, swingarm, spindles, hubs, brakes will work and nerf bars

z400 front and rear bumpers work

I heard ltr450 a arms work, but you need to use ltr spindles and custom bushings

 

Could I use 400ex and swing arm on a 250R? I seen the spindles and swingarm from a 250R, 400EX, and 450R. the 3 all look about the same 2 me. Which swingarm would be lighter? Also would the 400EX shocks work with the 250R? I was wondering and more concerned about the 400EX parts b/c a guy i know is parting out his stock 400EX chassis. He went ahead and bought a lighterweight aftermarket chromoly chassis.

 

well i know for a fact the 450r swing arm works im not sure about the 400ex's the 450r's should be lighter ill get back to you on what i find out for sure

 

Tapper do u know 4 sure if the front spindles from a 450R can be used on a 250R? How about the tierods and the tierod ends?

i have a spare motor if u can find a frame. Check on EBAY I found a killer deal the other day. I bought a trx 250r frame for $400 and 2 motors, and a few crankcases. I plan on building up 2 motors in case i need a spare.

 

I know where i can get a frame for 75 bucks. but what about all the other stuff will it end up costing more building one then buying one?
