Hello there, I was wondering what the top speed and horsepower was for a 07 honda rancher 420FM.

i know top speed is 54 mph......i think hp is something like 17hp

 

thats the 350 and its 52mph

 

i have a 420 and it tops out at 54mph

Same here....topped out at 54.

I did hit 55 for about 3 seconds, but that was from a wind gust that hit from behind. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Crazy i thought a 420 would hit 60mph i have got my rancher 2000 4x4 es up to 55mph but i have a jet kit. Now with my 25inch mudlites i max out around 48mph but people have told me larger tires can throw off the sensors.

 

Here is some Honda numbers.

Honda (2007)

250ex = 16.8 HP
300 EX= 17.1 HP
400 ex= 34.2 hp
500 (fm and fe) =26.9 hp
680 (rincon) =38.5 hp


No 420 in there but I bet it is close to the 500 (475cc) Foremans 27 hp and since the 450(421cc) Yamaha Kodiak is 26hp also.

you never hit 55, 52 is the max on the 350, then the rev limiter shuts you down, nothing fuel wise will change this sorry

i hit 55mph one time for like 2 seconds then the rev limiter brought me down i thought the moter was about to blow up it was to its max max
i was going down a hill not really a hill but the road was going down on angel i had my slicks on or my bald *** tires with my pipe airfilter jets everything

 

I hit 57mph on my 420 this past saturday ......slight down hill ......... and I was slapping the hell out of the rear fender
