I was riding with a few of my friends one night on my 88 250r and I had just wasted them all through a feild over to my drive way, but as soon as i got onto the drive way my quad wouldn't rev up easy, like it always does when I pull in the clutch, and then it just shut off. I kicked it over and it was obviously blown up. when I started tearing it apart the was all these copper or brass things on my piston, jammed into my cool head dome, in my pipe. The peices are reall small and were mashed up real good. What happened? was it my bottom end, what is copper and brass that could have done this? Please help!

Those are pieces are probably the shims from each side of the connecting rod on the lower bearing. Your lower crank bearing is probably gone. If so, replace the main crank bearings at the same time since you are already in the case.

Good Luck
