Hey I'm Sprenger,

I have a 1998 Honda trx300FW 4x4. It is a very strong quad, with lots of power. I'm just wondering what you guys would put on it to give it more power, and versatility. I have been looking at the Cobra Full system pipes for about $200, I was just wondering what you guys think of these systems. Also i have been looking at the Warn 424, to give me the option of 2x4 or 4x4. Any suggestions/advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

A pipe will help- but you need a complete threesome to gain some noticable power without tearing into the engine. Check out K&N's power kit. It has an NGK plug with a jet kit for the carb and and higherflow K&N air filter. Add those three with an aftermarket pipe and you will get a noticeable difference. Just remember not to go TOO loud on your aftermarket pipe. Noise pollution hurts our sport. There are plenty of pipes that will give you a sportier sound without breaking the sound threshold. A warn 424 locker is an awesome device. They work flawlessly and really make is easier to ride........as well as keeping your front end from being in a bind all the time which reduces wear and tear on your front end.

I'll have to look into the K&N filter and jet stuff.
-That cobra pipe I'm looking at is just the muffler, and it connects about half way down the whole muffler system. I went and looked at my exhaust on my 300 and it's a full system(stock-no joints or anyting). I know on the earlier models they where different. Any ideas??

Also on the website I'm lookin at the pipe on, theres a chart that tells you which pipe fits wat year/model. The pipe that is for mine is the muffler that connects about half way.

--Heres the Linklink to the pipe and theres a fitment guide link about halfway down the page[its the cobra utility quiet series]. Could someone help me??

----Thanks, Sprenger
