Default need help

My Rubicon in D2 is acting like it is starting off in 2 gear. if I put in D1 or esp it works fine. Have you heard about this before?

Possable oil pump relief valve or pump.
Was there any metal shavings on the dipstick when you pull it out ?
That could indicate the Hondamatic unit going out

no metel in dipstick. If it was a bad pump would it not work in all modes? If i put in esp it tackes off great and in d1.
