Does the chain tensioner have to come off in order to get the left side axle bearing and seal out? thanks,,

When you say chain tensior, are you talking about the groves on the left side of the bearing carrier? no, there are part of the carrier and if they are broken you will need to buy a new carrier. Heat your carrier up with a torch in the area of the bearing and this will lossen up the bearing so that you can hit it out using a punch.
