I think I need to go up a pilot jet size from the stock 38 to a 40 or 42... anyways, anyone know a good place to find these? I seem to be having troubles searching the net. I am also getting rid of the dynojets and going to the kehein jets to keep it easy. Now I gotta buy the stock needle since that has been lost as well...errrg.</end quote></div>
There's no reason to swap needles, that part is not going to make a big difference. You basically wasted $60 on the Dynojet kit if you are willing to scrap it. You would be better off tinkering with the dynojet kit and getting it as close as you can (it is a pain in the *** going back and forth, but it is well worth the time). The process doesn't get any easier just by switching back to Keihin jets.

Well I bought the quad with the dynojet kit and I just figured it would be better to use the stock jets over dynojet... so what do you think? should I just get a bigger pilot jet then? The dyno jet wants me to use 146 (stock lid, pipe). I got the 155 in right now and that doesnt seem like I should be using that.

Kawasaki or Honda dealerships will carry Kiehin jets, and they shouldnt be too expensive. Also denniskirk.com and jetrus have them too. The pilot stock was a 26 series,
and the replacement will be a 21 series. ( the 26 is shorter, from the threads out, which is meaning less. Note the bulb shape at the small end, thats the big thing to watch for..... the 22 series wont have that,)
Id start about 2 turns out on the mixture screw.
Bad news is...I dont think the needle can be bought stand alone. I think you need to buy a rebuild kit to get one...I might be wrong on that, but seems to me thats the way it works.
Somewhere around the 160 or so, should work for a main jet. Use the guide I linked for do it yourself jetting, and watch for symptoms of lean
