250ex sounds different??

Why would my 250ex sound different than a friends? They are both stock one is a few years newer but the newer one sounds throatier. Could it be the muffler was changed by Honda? Why could this be?

has the baffle been taken out of yours , because my brother has an 2003 and my friend has a 2006 250 ex and they both sound exactly the same

couldnt tell you cuz ive got an fmf mega max on it and its been on it before i got the fourwheeler

shouldn't sound different... maybe one was idling a little faster/slower than the other... or maybe the spark arrester was removed...
