Default Honda Help

I have a 2003 honda foreman as you can see in my sig. My wife has a honda rancher 350 and we are planning on selling it to get a 2008 honda foreman with power steering. I was just wondering if their is any big difference between the 2003 foremans and the 2008. Also is power steering really as good as everyone claims that it is.

The Foreman got a major redisign a few years back (body, engine, frame...pretty much everything), but I can't remember exactly what year. If your body style looks like the current one, then your 03 will be pretty much the same.

I believe it was 2005 when they went from the 450 to the 500. It was more than just a bore increase, the engine cases I believe are different as are a lot of parts, slightly larger clutch and stuff. It also has a bit more suspension travel. It's not a night and day difference, just slightly more refined suspension and a slight bump in power.

If I were to buy another one, I'd absolutely get power steering, but I ride on some rough and choppy trails. The machine is pretty easy to steer w/o power steering, but it would be nice to tame kickback when you smack something.
