86 footpegs are down and back 1" from 88 and 89, 88and 89's have a holder that mounts to the frame and the pegs mount to it, 86's mount directly to the frame. I got and 89 w/ 86 pegs it moves your feet down and back gives you a lower center of gravity but you have to shorten your shifter and brake levers 1". Doug Roll uses this set-up on his LOBO chassies
