Well...I'm gonna have to change my signature because I just bought an '05 Honda 450R and absolutely love it.

 

glad to hear that. how does it compare in terms of power to your kfx. Also did it have the hrc kit already installed? I absolutely love my 450r couldnt see myself on anything else.

First thing I would do is adjust the valves since the bike is already 3 years old. Might as well get that over with now so that you can ride it for the next 80 hours before the next valve adjustment. Stay on top of the maintenance and you will have a great bike for years to come.

 

The kfx400 was pretty quick but would bod on steep climbs. I aint rode in the mountain yet but the small hills around here it feels pretty good. The 400 would drop off a little in the midrange compared to this one where it'll keep pulling. It don't have the kit. It's got a two brothers titanium pipe, k&n filter and jetted.
