after reading 2 pages of recon snorkel posts i couldnt find what i am looking for. im putting a snorkel on my wifes recon and i would like to know if i use 2" hose for the snorkel do i need to rejet the carb and if so what size of jets and where to buy them? thanks

 

have you pulled the stock snorkel yet......i wouldnt use hose ...i hard piped mine with 1 1/2 pvc

looks better and will hold up longer

the stock snorkel will tell you what size the airbox is

i used 2" shopvac hose on 420 so i just thought i would do the same on the wifes recon. im rethinking this to use 1 1/2" thin walled pvc. my real consern is the if i have to rejet the carb and what size and where to buy the jets.

i think a lot of people are having problems going to big

i couldnt beleave how much better it ran with the snorkel....i didnt think it would do much but i did

i add an HMF pipe to it and now its a torq monster....will have my uni filter tomarrow

no i have a 420.......but if you snorkel i would try rejetting it go up 1 size
