I know people have asked and I've read were you can't put a 400ex motor into the frame of the 300ex because the motor mounts on the 400ex mount into the swing arm. Does anyone know if it is possible to make my own motor mount for the 400ex motor? I have a friend who is a really great welder but I wasn't sure if there would be any kind of clearance issues or sprocket/chain alignment issues. Is this the only part of the 400ex motor that would not fit?
