Default airbox lid

I was wondering if i could ride without the lid on the airbox. There was some dude on my street that did that and i was wondering if that would mess up ur bike. The guy told me just dont go into water and dusty areas

Sure you can but without the lid your getting a whole lot more air and that will make her run LEAN and soon it will burn her up. I run mine with out a lid but you must Rejet your carb. It's no big deal and with a little research you can just about find out from others the perfect jet size on the first or second try. By running with out the lid and adding bigger jets your getting more fuel with will give you more Power! You do have to watch the mud holes. I run a outweaers lid cover just to repeal the water and mud but gives the benifit of running no lid at all.

Lean is not a good thing! Honda jets lean at the factory to begin with (to meet emissions standards) and no lid might just put you over the top...
