The timing has'nt been messed with,as far as I know. This is a wierd one.I also see that the push rods in it do not have the holes through them for the oil to be pushed back up to the rockers,im wondering if they put the wrong push rods back in here.I thought thats how the upper got oil to it.Its bone dry at the rockers and i see the holes in the rockers for the oil to come up but the push rods do not have holes running through them to push the oil back up and if so,maybe that has something to do with the travel on the push rods affecting the valves opening and closing the correct time,HMMMMMMMMMM

Oh yea,by the way,I buy and sell four wheelers as a hobby,I have a 98 300ex and a 04 ozark at the moment.I just sold a polaris 300 express friday gone and a 03 kodiak 450 sat.,and a 98 kaw.KX 250 sat. also.

If the timing was off I would at lest get a backfire of sort but the fuel is being pushed out of the carb, wierd,Im on the push rods being wrong somehow and causing an off travel affecting the valves opening and closing at the right time

The oil doesn't travel through the pushrods. There is another hole that feeds the oil to the top end in the head. If it's drawing air in through the exhaust and pushing it out through the intake then the timing must be backwards somehow or something of that sort.

That makes good sense,I'll check that tomorrow and see. But,it was running when it went in the shop,I dont know how the timing would get off?All that they said they did was put rings in it,but I will check that tom, thanks alot for the response. And thanks for the oil travel info to,was'nt sure about that.
