after racing tecates against these machines when they were new. i finally decided to get one, i must say i am very impressed with it! what is better is that i can still go to honda and buy any part for it after 15years! thanks honda!
i got my 1985 atc 250r from it's original owner
who only rode it a couple of times, he then rolled it and broke his arm. he pushed it into the garage for 15 years. i paid 975 for it, it needs only fenders to be mint!(broken when he rolled it!)
current bikes: 90 quadracer 500(i bought it new!)
fmf pipe, mint bike(less than 20hrs!)
94 blaster, paid 500 for it (seized) rebuilt runs looks great! less that 800 in machine!
1985 atc 250r: time machine mint!!! paid 975

You have both the same bikes I have. I own a 87 LT500 and a 85 ATC 250R. Those trikes can scream hard. I've got every mod possible engine wise on the 250, including stage III porting. I raced at silver lake michigan with it. It made many a banshee look bad with just 250cc's. I then bought my LT500 after racing a few. They were just as fast if not faster than my decked out trike.
