hot 300ex help

Default hot 300ex help

Got a 1995 300ex it had been rode hard it had a quarter of the piston melted of and intake valve worn really bad got two new valves and springs to match regound all valves checks exhaust spings bored it high com piston new cam and rockers the where shot cleaned all the metal out of bottom end put it back together runs great fmf pipe 130 jet motor gets so damn hot cant touch dipstick. Does any know why its getting so hot I took valve adj[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]uster cover off and blow by comes out started it with cover off its oiling good the oil when it hits you burns like welder sparks .Got any ideas

I think it's suppose to be hot. At least I hope so. Mine gets really hot too.

Hot suggests a possible lean jetting??? Any dedeleration backfire?

Try running higher octane fuel....you need that for the high comp piston anyway.

I suggest an ester synthetic oil, like Maixma Extra or Redline MC. These stand up to hot temperatures better than any lubricant out there (that is why esters are used in jet engines!).

It had a 130 jet in it honda said try 125 i did it runs cooler by lean you mean to much air not enough fuel right i have a 138 jet should i try it.Also I dont think it backfires.I dont really ride it its the wifes
