just like the title says, i bought my 03 400 ex 2 and a half years ago and it was already modded a bit, but im not sure if its been rejetted or not. im sure that with the slip on and the filter it should have burned somethign by now with the abuse i put it through. so is there any way of telling?

what will the new jets look like? will they have markings on them? i ask because ive never seen factory jets so i have no idea what theyd look like. also would i just be able to run the bike hard, shut it off and check the plug and see if its a little white or not?

 

lol ive only seen aftermarket jets aswell but if it is jetted it will have a diff needle!!

 

again, how can i tell if its a different needle? lol

 

go on the internet or if u have a owners manual and look at the difference of the two...

how about go buy a jet kit and re jet it..........that way you KNOW it will be!

 

when you rev it up, does it rev smooth all the way through the RPM band? If it breaks up a lot, then it could be lean...which would mean they probably didn't jet it. If it revs clean, then its probably jetted correctly. If it smokes and bogs a little in the high rpm's, it could be a little rich from too large of jets.
