I have a 1986 four trax 250 i want to do a oil change what weight oil should i use??

 

10W40 is usually a good choice for a summer oil in most of the counrty. If you are in the hot south then maybe 20W50, or in the forzen north then maybe 10W30.

In general, the newer engines have tighter tolerances and recommend thinner oils, but back in your machine's day they tended to like the thicker stuff.
