After draining the tank, crankcase, and oil filter, refilling the tank will not be enough oil for the whole system. What I do is fill the tank full, start it for a couple minutes to distribute the oil, then check the level in the tank again (it will drop by quite a bit), and then top the tank back up. Then take it for a sort ride, and check it one more time again after that.
