i found a 86 250r with a blown motor forsale about 66 miles away from me.
my question is he wants 1000.00 or best offer. it comes with some after market shocks in front and exhaust. i was thinking 800.00 is it worth that? how much would i be looking at for a motor?

blown motor?does the owner know whats wrong? most likly its the rod or piston.i would buy it and rebuild the crank,new main bearings. bore it out if needed and a new piston. cost between $300 to $500.not a bad deal.

 

Sounds like a good deal to me. I love my R. Rebuild tha top end, and it should fix it. $600 tops. i would do it. check for frame cracks.
