Ag tires on a Rubicon
#4
now I thought somone might say that but I just can't see it that way and the reason why is because the tires are so narrow. Think of it this way, why does the bull-dozer and the escuvatore's {or how ever you spell that name} have wide tracks on them? Well i'll tell you why is because so they don't sink into the mud as much and have a greater suface to grab the ground, another words more traction. I quess i can see your point of the AG tires so they dig down and grab the hard ground from under neath and pull ya along. But what if there is no hard surface to grab? your stuck really good and if you don't have anybody else to pull you out or a winch, that would suck. And if you went through the same spot with the outlaws you would have a greater chance than the AG tires would woudn't they?

Greetings,
DirtWheels did a mud tire shoot out about a year ago. They put about five different types of tires on about five 450ESs. They even included the Ag tires although cautioned that they were not always welcome in public riding areas due to the wear and tear they put on the trails.
You might try to find this issue. I'll look around tonight and see what they said about the performance of the Ag tires -- my recollection was that they did very well.
