So I should screw in about 1/4 turn you think

 

My 450r and my 400ex both did this and were piped and jetted. I was told it was ok because it only did it when I let off the gas and was down shifting.....I can tell I never had a problem with either one because of this.

turning the a/f screw out to make the a/f mix richer. turn it out about 1 turn, then adjust idle up. should work for ya.
