Well, unfortunately i guess that is our fault.
First we were under time constraints because we wanted to get this for our daughter on her birthday. So, we only made 3 trips to the dealer.
Second, we did no investigation on this model.
Third, (this is not our fault) The dealer kinda pushed for the Rancher ES. Saying it was the best deal for the money. And that it would be just right for what we were after. Also this was last years model. So he was pushing to get it sold
Forth, we were going by what a great name / rep Honda has.
Fifth, like i said we are an hours drive from the dealer. Maybe things would have been different had we gone somewhere else.

We are kinda in the process of trying to get out from under the contract. Or at least get something out of it. Cause this thing is a noting more than a POS.

mine is doing the same thing tha only diffrence is im flashin 2 times slow and then 2 times fast. I was told that code is a angle sensor. I have a buddy that had the same problem your having same code it was his wiring harness. He took it apart underneath the pod and cleaned the connectors and now it works fine. there is 3 connectors under neath. if you take the cover off the radiator cap you will see these the one in the middle (green) is the one he had to clean

 

Well over 3/4 of the TRX's we sell are ESP models and very very few come back with trouble..

 

 

hey i knowticed you guys are having the same problem that I'm facing. I bought 420 new back in 2007 and have been real tough on it ever since. it recently completely stopped shifting and is flashing 2's twice, two long and two short. I did some research and realized that was code for the angle sensor. I odered a new one from the dealership, put it on, and am still having the same trouble. I've checked continuity through all wires connecting the sensor to the plug. Any help on this would be greately appreciated.
