Default Looking into different tires..

I have an 07' Foreman ES, and am looking into new tires. I was wondering what everyone is having the best luck with. I ride all sorts of terrain(deep mud, water, hard pack, etc). I am looking for an all around tire, but it needs to be able to handle mud. I was looking into possibly the Outlaw(for it's gripping abilities) or the Interco Swamp Lite for it's all around reviews. Anyone running either of these tires, and if so how do they look on the wheeler(added ground clearance or widened stance?)?

The Outlaws are a great mud tire but would have a VERY rough ride on hard packed trails. The Swamp Lites are the way to go!! On my ATV, they definately added some ground clearance and widened my stance. You will feel much more confident on off cambers with these tires than your stock tires. These Swamp Lites also hook up great in any amount of mud or clay. Surprisingly, Interco Swamp Lites have a very smooth ride, considering they are almost a radial tire. The only down fall I can pick on about the Swamp Lites is at higher speeds, they tend to shimmy a little. You can't really notice it on the trail, unless you are on a perfectly flat dry trail that compares to a road, you will notice it.

I've run stock, ITP Blackwater, and now ITP Mud Lite XTR Radials on my foreman. The Mud Lite radials are the best tire I've had yet, they are amazing in Mud, great for climbing hills, the best handling mud tire i've had yet on hard pack, and the best tire I've used in the snow. I run 27" all round 9" in front 11" in the rear.

ITP Mudlites all the way for me for an all around tire that can hang with the best in the mud! There....that's my 2 cents if it's even worth that!

I have Kenda Bear Claws on my wheeler and they were a great improvment over stock, but they are a 6 ply tire so they made the ride rougher. My friend has Mud Lites and they seemed to be a goot tire but he was getting stuck in mud hole that i was going through but that also could be the driver error too.

I suppose the answer to the question would depend on how much of your riding is in deep mud, and how much is hard pack trail riding...

I'm thinking about a set of tires for my Foreman, too. Decent ride and handling on the trail, along with toughness and long life are important, and most of my riding is desert rocks or forest roots and dirt, with some mud and some snow.

I figure radial would be the way to go on the "decent ride" part, so I think I'll get a set of Bighorns, as they are supposed to be excellent in big rocks and loamy dry stuff, with good ride, tough, and do OK in mud and snow.

If I wanted an all purpose tire that leaned more to the mud end but still rode and handled well, I think I'd go XTR's.

Thats my problem though, I don't just ride one terrain. Summer time I do alot of fun riding on the weekends, and this is usually as much mud as we can find. Then when fall hits it's mostly bow hunting and scouting in the woods(less mud). Then winter I'm riding around on frozen lakes ice fishing with it. So I don't really have one for sure terrain I can say I use(kind of why I'm steering away from the Outlaw's). But I've talked to guys at work, and they all swear by the Mudlite's..... Does anyone have any pics of how these diff tires look on their wheelers? I think my stock was 25"? I'm going to bump it up one size to 26".....

For your type of riding (similar to my own) you wont be dissapointed with the Mud Lite XTR radial. Granted the regular Mud Lites are great and very popular, well wearing tires, the XTR performes better accross the board.

OK, I've gone and looked at the Mudlite XL's in person and I really like them. I have 25x8-12 on the front and 25x10-12 on the rear. I was wondering what everyone is safely running with a stock setup and no loss in power. I was hoping to go one size bigger, 26x10-12 and 26x12-12. Will this size rub up front, or give me any loss in power?
