I've ridden the Titan 489's and they are great. I will soon be buying the 489's or 589's for my Rancher. Did your ruby come with dirthooks? My Rancher did and they suck. Hopefully someone out there has 589's to report on.

Just put 26" 589's on my Rubicon Monday. Increased GC by 1.25" with 5psi in the tires. The steering is actually easier now than with the Dirthooks, but I have not had a chance to get in any real mud yet. I can't tell any difference in the ride, it does not seem to be any rougher.

I didn't notice any power loss. I run a trap-line every day and I have to drive up a earth dam on a small water-shed lake. The dam is about 25' tall with about a 30 degree slope and I didn't feel any loss of power compared to the stock tires.

Good to meet ya (sort of, or at least electronically), OKRuby! What size combination (I looking for widths) did you go for? Was the ride on hardpack rougher than the OEM Dirthooks? Did you get a liftkit or fender kit for them. I am salivating over the 589's, so I am very interested in any info or impressions on these tires on a Ruby.

If you are planning on 589's with 25x8 on the front & 25x10 on the rear, you will not notice any power loss. Those are the same size as stock tires. I am running 27x10 bugs on the front and 27x12 bugs on the rear with no power loss.

I do not need extra height ,I am more concerned with ride comfort and power loss"do not want any"i would like to have some extra traction, also a litlle concerned about how they would perform in the sand pits.I have had a bad experience with purchasing after market tires before and i would hate to do it again. If i would know for sure i would be happy with the titan's i would sell my stock tires.
