Default 1986 TRX200sx hesitation question

Been working slowly on my new ATV, got it running after it had been sitting for many, many years. Suprised at how well it runs and power it has. Question I have is when I first crack the throttle there seems to be a hesitation (as slight as it might be), till it takes off in 1st gear. Is there an adjustment I might make? I have been looking for a repair manual for my ATV....any readers got one for sale that covers my 86 Honda TRX200sx? Also, has any reader ever put a trailer hitch on their TRX200sx....would be interested in knowing where you got it or how you "made" it and the results. Tnx in advance.

i think that is normal because mine does the same thing if i dont touch the throttle for like 15 seconds +/- 5 seconds until it warms up but my cam was shot and it needed new piston rings for quite some time

Thanks for the input. Not a big thing, guess I am looking for perfection! Got any ideas on my hitch question. Do plan to pull things around the place like chain link drag to knock down cow patties, etc. Might have gotten the wrong ATV but could not pass it up....guy has a graveyard of ATVs and told me to pick one out and I could have it but I had to buy anything to get it going. Less than $100 later it is up and running.

you can find the Clymer covering 1986-1988 on ebay and even Amazon from about $22 to $30.

I just put a new top end on mine (first time) using the manual and it was pretty straight forward. The only problem is its now smudged with grease.

I made a custom hitch for mine. I have a waterjet machine at my work, so I cut out the hitch shape, welded that onto another square piece of steel, and drilled holes. Then used 2 muffler clamps around the back axle and bolted it on. It's real easy to take on or off, but it strong enough to pull my little trailer around the yard if I need to.
