I just bought an 02 400 ex and tonight when i tried to start it ,nothing.The neutral light wont come on and nothing happens when i press the start button.I can bump start it and it starts right up.Battery is fine any suggestions on what it might be.Thanks

 

well if the neutral light wont even come on then it is probably a wire or something leading up to the hole front console thing

 

Will the starter turn...if the clutch is pulled in, while pressing the starter button?

 

no the starter will not turn it must be a loose connection somewhere i am going to take another look at it today, Thanks

 

Look near the shifter. There is a wire attached to a sensor which activates the neutral light. I had the same thing happenn to me. I must have knocked the wire loose. Reattached, and all is well.
