I just got my 400ex a month ago and have had a lot of experience getting stuck in the snow, even with the Realters. I can't imagine this thing would go through any mud over 6" deep. I would love to see some pics of a 400ex in mud. Anyone have any. If not, I'll get some when things thaw out here.

 

you must not be able to ride right or something then cuz my friends 400EX has gone through 3 and a half foot deep water, and tons of mud. i dunno about 6 inches but it probobly would make it. specially with realters (his tires are stock)

That last post was a little fishy. 3 and 1/2 feet of water would be up over his handlebars and way past the air intake! Also, I'm assuming that "tons" of mud is less than 6 inches for you if you only think the 400ex could "probobly" make it through that much. That's not saying much for your buddy's machine if it gets stuck in 6 inches! Hey, how old are you? Ask your buddy how it feels when he's stuck in the mud and a Scrambler goes flying right through the hole!

 

lol ok maybe it was a slight exxageration, the water was probobly 3 or 4 inches above his front tires, i don't know how deep the mud was but we've had it through some thick stuff as i was wriing the message i started to think about how much 6 inches really is. we miht have had it through 6 inches, we probobly have in fact but i'm not sure as i've never actually measured. i'm 15 years old i'll be 16 in march. i would know how it would feel for him to be stuck and have a scrambler fly through it because its never happend but i'm sure a scrambler would go through more than a 400EX at least i would hope so. but how do you feel when your riding through a trail and a 400EX blows past you? thats probobly howwe would fee when it goes through more mud, or not i dunno i'm just rambling on...
