Default tire options for rancher

I have a rancher with 24x8-12 on the front and 24x9-11 on the back. What other size wheels and tires can I use?

Will 25 x8 x 12 and 25 x 10 x 12 tires off a Foreman 500 work?

thanks

Default tire options for rancher

Work is a relative question. I checked into changing my rancher out with other tire and wheel combos and the response I got was to keep it the same as the rancher is not know for it's power and changing the size of the tires effects this. I stuck with the same size tires and rims to keep the thing stock as stock worked great for me so far. I have lived with modified vehicles in the past that have bigger than stock tires and it has always created problems. Granted some were minor others were major (broken pinion gear). So take one persons advice stock works and unless you have a BIG reason to switch out the tire size stay that way. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) as my uncle always said!

Thank you

I was trying to cut my cost on a new set of tires, mine are wore. Ebay has the 25".
Man these tires are expensive.

I got mine at rockymountain ATV and put them on myself. The first one was easy the second one was not.

A Kawasaki 360 prairie,a Suzuki 400 (376cc) Eiger/KQ ,my old Yamaha 350 Big Bear and the older Honda 350 Fourtrax & 400 Foreman (395cc) all came stock with 25" tires.

I would think a Rancher 420cc Utility ATV should of had 25" stock as well.

Going up 1 inch in size will only give you 1/2 inch more ground clearance.

The Foreman has 12" rims Front and back (reflected in the last number in the tire sizes you posted) the rancher has 12" rims on the front but only 11" rims on the back, so the rear tires from a foreman will NOT fit. You could get a set of 12" rims for the rear (which would make tire selection easier in 25" and up) or get a set of 11" rim tires for the rear.

That's what I thought...but I was told that 12"0 would fit on 11"...but be tight.

it would be the other way around the 12" tires on 11" rims would be loose as the hole in the 12" tires is larger than the Diameter of the 11" rims.

Yup...you're right. I was thinking of the width. Was told a 24x10-11 would fit but be tight on a 24x9-11.
