I have a honda fourtrax 300 . It will not start. When I push the starter button, I can hear the starter relay clicking. The battery is fully charged. On occasion, it will start right up. Could this be a loose wire or does the starter act this way. I'm not mechanically inclined.

 

The starter will probably need to be re-built or replaced .. You have to test it with a volt meter ... Put the negative (black) lead of the volt meter to a good ground , put the positive (red) lead of the volt meter to the starter positive post (it should be under the rubber boot) now turn on the key and push the starter button ... If you hear the soliniod click and battery voltage registers on the volt meter then the problem is the starter ..
