I was planning on buying a set of sharks for my ex, and I can only get 21" size tires. I was wondering if I will have to change sprockets? Will I notice the difference in one inch of height? If you don't notice to much of a difference, I will stay with the stock sprockets.
It has been snowing here for awhile, and I need something for the snow, I thought about the Realtors, but the shark looks to be a tire I can use all year, are the sharks good all year? In summer and winter? How do they last? The stock EX tire works OK but I want something to hook up in all conditions, and one I can run in the summer also.

Thanks in advance!

I'm in the same boat but I have the sharks. Don't know if there'll last or how well there'll do in hard pack, but I can tell you this. They work real well in mud and snow on my ds650. I highly recommend them.

Fello Red rider, I've had them for 2 yrs now and they still look great. If your running stock gearing you'll be fine, I actually running 16/38 because of my summer race series with my 18" holeshots. Get a set you won't be disapointed. I've been doing a lot of winter riding and i can still pull the front end up in the snow! Any other questions just ask

99' 400ex race ready!

Hey Pitbull,
How are they in the summer? Can you run them on hard pack, roads and such with out them beating the bearings out of the rear? Do they vibrate on a hard surface? After your reply, I think I will buy them. Should I get them on .190 aluminium, or steel wheels. Are they real heavy?

Thanks

When I'm not racing ther're usually on the machine. There're great on all types of terrain. I have a axcaliber +4 axle a LSR carrier, so with the wider rear end i would experience a much greater load. No problems yet! If your still using the stock carrier i would check your bearings replace if needed. I've gotten most of the guys i ride with to get them because of the stuff I've been able to go through! I ride with 5 other 400's, quadracer, a few polaris's. I would recomend riding on pavement though, that will eat any tire up not to mention the torque load it puts on your gear box. Stay off the paved ones.

Good luck with them!

Pitbull: I need a new bearing carrier, the Lone Star, fit's good on your stock swingarm, or you have an aftermark one.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
