It's a good thing for those who are aware of how to control the unit that fast in reverse.
I'm not being a sourpuss here
Liability issues have knocked at my door for altering Rubicons in this fasion so I have zipped my lip when people ask for how to wire them

Well being smarter than the average hamster and reading above that it will show you in low when i reverse i believe its just a matter of a wire swap on the shifter or adding a wire on the shifter from the low to the reverse.

Am i close?

dscrazy no i dont still have them. but mudlicker is right its a matter of moving the switch on the shifter out of the way and then you have to cut one wire into and splice it to another wire at the wiring harness coming out ot the trans under the right side panel along the frame

Might be a nice option to add on a toggle switch.....

98% of the time having high speed reverse would be pointless........ but if engaged in heavy mud....... The higher wheel speed would be nice to clear tires of mud.

If i were to add this option............mine would be controlled by toggle switch

well the you can esp shift reverse with the option so, if you leave it in first gear it would be like factory and then you upshift for faster reverse. Or you can put it in automatic and baby the throttle. I still haven't had time to make the mod yet but i am going to try it this weekend. Thanks to everyone that helped with the info, and a big thumbs up to hondamechanic!!! On the downside of this mod, you have no reverse indicator, but who cares, you can see the darn shifter.
