have any of you guys bought that black box mod to bypass the rev limiter? It is like 75$, I might do it and i was wondering if it is worth it. I don't want to pay that much if i won't be able to tell the difference. I thought I would get some advice from other 300ex riders who have had this done to their quad.

Its like any other mod, Is there something that you want to improve? Are you hitting the rev limiter now? I had a 300ex that I did some port work to, new cam, higher comp. piston and it would pull very hard and when the cam seemed to kick in it would then hit the rev limiter. I sent mine to tc racing and they modified it and when I put it on, it was like a new quad. It inhanced my other mods so it was worth it.

Hey i know this is a little late but here goes....
Hey hondakid are you just going to get rid of the rev limiter on your 300ex all together or have it raised?
I read somewhere on the net on how to get rid of the rev limiter all together by yourself. I tried it and it seemed to work, i couldn't hit the rev limiter, and it gets rid of the reverse rev limiter too.
If anyone wants more info let me know...
